Chinese language students win the third translation competition of 2025

Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of Jeddah University, Professor Dr. Obaid bin Ali Al Muzaff, it was organized by the College of Languages and Translation
In cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs and the General Administration of Institutional Communication, the third edition of the Jeddah University Competition for Translation from and into Chinese among Saudi universities, under the title: “From the Heart of the Peninsula to the Silk Road”.
The Dean of the College of Languages and Translation, Dr. Nouf Al-Khattabi, also stated that this initiative comes within the efforts of the University of Jeddah to support the Kingdom's Vision 2030, by building bridges of cultural communication and providing an educational environment that stimulates innovation and excellence in the fields of translation and languages.
The competition aims to promote cultural exchange and openness, discover linguistic talents, and empower and qualify young people for the labor market, amidst a wide student and academic presence from various Saudi universities.
The competition witnessed distinguished competition between participants in three main tracks, and the results resulted in:
Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University wins first place in the editorial track.
The University of Jeddah wins first place in the tracking track.
The University of Jeddah wins first place in the incentive competition dedicated to the first levels in the Chinese language specialization, which was held as an event accompanying the main competition.
