The College of Languages and Translation at the University of Jeddah was established by the University President’s decree (40-05-1123) on (29/05/1440AH). This decree transferred the “College of Languages and Translation” from King Abdulaziz University’s Faisaliah branch to the University of Jeddah. The establishment followed an earlier decree (40-05-608) on (28/03/1440 AH), which formed the college’s founding committee, along with approval from the Minister of Higher Education (18/03/1439 Hijri) to restructure several university colleges, including the College of Languages and Translation.
The college offers a welcoming environment for language and cultural studies, with an educational process that undergoes continuous evaluation and development to align with the university’s vision and meet evolving labor market needs. The college supports academic talent and research, providing faculty, staff, and students with the resources needed to achieve excellence comparable to local and international standards.
