Social Responsibility

The college aims to serve the community, work towards linking the university with the surrounding society, and contribute to its development in terms of: -The preparation of qualified and professional graduates in Languages and Translation who meet the aspirations and the needs of the labor market and acquire the graduates with the different communication skills and strategies through the exposure to different cultures and languages. -Provide training courses to help the students to develop their communication skills, collaboration skills, and build strong professional relationships, and acquire the students with the ability to handle the possible stress in the work environment. -Provide lectures and societal activities on (e.g., women rights, community rights, family violence, and health). -Provide conferences and seminars such as: the First Translation Conference, and the Translation Competition between Saudi universities. -The development of scientific research in the fields of teaching Linguistics and Translation, and the formation of distinct research school in languages: 86 research papers issued by the University of Jeddah whether in Arabic or English Language in local journals, international journals, non-scopes database, and in ISI database
