The College of Languages and Translation at the University of Jeddah was established by Decision No. (1123-05-40) dated (1440/05/29 AH) of His Excellency the President of the University, which stipulates the transformation of the branch of the College of Languages and Translation from King Abdulaziz University – Al-Faisaliah Branch to the College of Languages and Translation.

This came in accordance with His Excellency's decision No. (608-05-40) dated (03/28/1440 AH) to form the founding committee for the College of Languages and Translation, and the letter of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education No. (03/1439/18 AH) approving the restructuring and development of a number of the university's faculties, including the Faculty of Languages and Translation. The faculty also provides an attractive environment for learning different languages and cultures in the context of an educational process that is continuously subject to continuous evaluation and development in a manner that is consistent with the university's aspirations and visions and keeps pace with the current and future needs of the labor market
